Summer competitions are complete. The Thompson Cup was won by Paul Liversidge and the Tankard was won by Brian Shelton and Gary Thompson
Trophies have been ordered from Bob Lofthouse with the cost approximately the same as 2014
The Captain reported that Backworth had won the Triangular Shield by the biggest margin since the inaugural competition. He wished to thank all competitors who had taken part.
Senior Organisers Report
Mr Harvey informed the committee that the Senior AGM had been attended by 18 members however not all of those members had played in the Canning Reed Trophy following the meeting. He suggested that the Canning Reed be played before the AGM, possibly in September, so that all senior members of the club would have the chance to play in the last competition of the season.
The handicap secretary reported that this competition was supposed to be a 4bbb one and enquired when it had been changed to a singles stableford one. He also stated that this was an official club competition and as such all senior members should be allowed to play. For that reason he was in favour of the change.
After some discussion the committee agreed to this change.
